Recognizing Synchronicity: When You Know You’re Exactly Where You’re Meant to Be
Musical Breeeeeeaaaakkkkk. I bet your college experience wasn't the same as mine. But if you were wondering, we used to go to karaoke a lot at Buffalo Wild Wings in St. Cloud. The group I went with always did a musical break cheers + chug. ANYWHO.
I am pushing snooze for the next two weeks on the podcast. We are making our way back to Minnesota right now from a week in Florida. Driving is going to take a bit of time this entire week and I think a summer vacation from recording is due! Matt and I are having some incredible conversations about life and it’s truly delightful to get time like this with him. I hope you have plans to enjoy your family and/or spouse this summer. We really only have so many we get to enjoy together. Make it a great one!
Being in the right room at the right moment
In October of 2019 Matt and I flew to San Diego for our first large event to learn more about flipping houses. We had been part of the mastermind that was putting the event on for 5 months at that point. The excitement of getting to see all of my mastermind + accountability pals was high. I was also asked to speak on stage on a panel about my experience in the group.
A keynote speaker walked onto stage. His name, Walter Bond. He was famous for almost being famous. I guess. He grew up in Illinois playing basketball and went to college at the University of Minnesota to play D1 ball. His college basketball experience wasn’t great. He almost didn’t actually end up playing until one of his coaches finally got some fire in him. He went on to play a couple seasons in the NBA. Then he figured out he wanted to inspire people. He has had a far more successful run at being a keynote speaker and weaving a great story on stage. I was moved by it, big time. So moved that I started leaking from my eyes uncontrollably. At that time I would definitely say I was not a cryer. Not a ton of reasons to. But that day it came out in a free fall. He got off the stage and I continued to cry. I locked myself in a bathroom stall and finally quelled the tears. I was in such disbelief. His story was really good, but it wasn’t THAT good.
I finally realized. I was in the exact right place at the exact right time. I don’t know what transpired to make it happen but there was zero doubt in my mind I was supposed to be in that room with all of those real estate people. I was meant to hear Walter Bond talk about his journey. I was meant to start convincing people how great masterminds were. It came with a lot of emotions that day. It was the first time I would have an experience like that where it felt like an extreme alignment that I didn’t know was possible.
There have been plenty of moments that I have felt very aligned with my journey since that weekend in October of 2019. I am starting to actually make a timeline of them. Realizing there is no coincidences because it seems too much live divine timing. I have been getting those feelings more and more lately. That I am having a conversation I am meant to have. That I am meeting new people that are meant to be here, now. My friend Adrian told me he is starting to journal about synchronicities. The more he journals about them, the more he finds and notices them. I am feeling like a habit like that would be really beneficial. The more you notice things like this the more they are going to come up.
